Seriously???

I really have to question the service of Kaiser hospital sometimes. Yesterday I met up with my sisters in my mom's hospital room, because the doctor was supposed to discuss her illness and treatment with us. We waited about an hour and a half and finally asked the nurse where he was. She said he was in a meeting that should be about an hour long. Meanwhile my sister, Cheryl asked the nurse if she could let us know what my mom's current blood sodium level was and/or if it had come up any. The nurse said ok and left the room. She never did bother to come back or tell us anything. As for the doctor, we waited for him for over 3 hours. Finally Cheryl asked the nurse if the doctor could just call her once he was finished with the meeting. We all went home. Cheryl finally called me about 4 1/2 hours later. She said that the doctor had told her he was in meetings all afternoon. On a Sunday???!! I'm having trouble believing that. He said that since he hadn't actually seen my mom that he could not say exactly why her blood sodium level was so low. It's possible it could be from the antibiotic that was used for her bladder infection. He said that it appeared that the infection was cleared up though. If so, why are they still giving her antibiotics by IV? Also, how could he know this if he hasn't seen her? AND, why did he want to meet with us? (Actually, it is possible that my mom only said that he wanted to meet with us. She was so delusional on Saturday that she may have just thought he wanted to see us. Maybe he didn't really say that). Either way, it bothers me that he hasn't even bothered to check in on his patient. Cheryl said that the doctor is supposed to speak with her today, and she'll let me know the outcome.

Worried

My mom was admitted to the hospital for a few days last week due to a bladder infection which led to dehydration and a low blood sodium level. They released her Tuesday and she seemed to be doing well. She went back in the hospital this morning again. Her blood sodium level is very low again and she is extremely confused. The doctors say that low sodium does often cause confusion, but it is very scary. Phil and I will be going out to see her later today. I hope that the doctors can provide some answers as to why her sodium is so low. I talked to my sister a while ago. She was at the hospital earlier. She said that the doctors said my mom's sodium level was in the 120 range. I googled "normal blood sodium level" and it said normal levels should be 136 to 145. Not good! I'll let everyone know when I have found out more as to what is causing this.

My Sister's New Home

Saturday Phil, my mom, and I took a ride to see my sister Charlene's (AKA Renie) new house. She's lived in Antioch for many years in a trailer park, but it was time to get away from the noise and traffic. She bought a really nice house with about 1 1/2 acres of land in Ione, CA. It was a foreclosure and still has a lot of fixing up to do, but my sister's boyfriend Danny has already done a tremendous amount of work. He put in new tile and carpet, new light fixtures, and painted all of the inside. He still wants to repaint the outside and do some landscaping. It's really cute already though.

Pigs and Pride

This morning Phil asked me to take a couple pictures of our discusting neighbor's house so that he can forward them to the city (last 2 pictures). Phil already contacted the neighborhood improvement services, and they claim to have a case file opened. Aparently not much is being done though. I can't understand anyone living like such pigs. Geeze people, whether you rent or own have a little pride in your home!

On a nicer note, I took the camera along with me to San Francisco today and took a few pictures after my interview. The tall building to the right of the Transamerica building in the 3rd photo is the building where my interview was held. I don't know the name of the sculpture or the artist, but I liked the mother holding the baby. The 1st pic shows the rainbow flags along Market Street in preparation for the Gay Pride parade this weekend.

1st Fire of the Season

This morning we were warned of a high fire alert due to low humidity, strong winds, and warming temperatures. Temps are surely climbing. Right now it's about 85*, but by Sunday we should be reaching mid-90's. Sure enough, today we had our first fire of the season. I understand that it is still burning. No structures are threatened yet, but there was a voluntary evacuation. The fire is really close to a school, so hopefully all the kids were evacuated safely.

Armageddon???

It has been a crazy day to say the least. In case you haven't heard about the situation on the news, last weekend a 25 year old man was pulled over here in Concord as he was wanted for some previous bank robberies in the area as well as a possible link to a murder in San Francisco. As the police started to question this guy, he shot at the cops and ran into a nearby water slide park. A search of the area went on until nearly 1 A.M. The search went dead. Yesterday the man was found in Sacramento. He barricaded himself inside of an apartment building and held a one year old child hostage. It was later revealed that the child is his cousin. At the present time the standoff still continues. Gun fire between the suspect and the police was exchanged last night, and the suspect was shot in the arm. He also has a head wound of some sort. He still refuses to come out or release the child. http://claycord.com/2010/06/10/update-on-the-attempted-concord-cop-killer/

A Day in the City

Yesterday Phil's friend Chris met up with us in San Francisco. He is here from Colorado for a business meeting in SF, but he had yesterday free. We first went up to Twin Peaks to get some views of the city on a rare fog-free San Francisco day. Then we went to AT&T Park for the Giants game. The game was still tied in the ninth inning, so we took Chris back to his hotel and went home then. I read this morning that the Giants lost after 11 innings. I wonder what time the game finally ended. It was about 10:30 when we left. It was Irish heritage day at the game. The top picture shows a performance by the Irish Healy dancers. From our seats even using the zoom feature on the camera the dancers turned out really small. (Click on the photo for a slightly better view.) Their costumes were beautiful though. The colors were amazing.

Mother's Day

I hope all the moms had a nice mother's day. Phil and I went over to my sister's house for a bbq. Since it's rainy again, we spent most of the afternoon indoors. The kids didn't seem to mind much. My nephew's girlfriend took a cute picture of the Great nieces and nephews. (Yes, I'm that old...sigh!!!)

In this pic: Angie's kids (Ruby, Holden & Charlotte) and Manda's son Cohen.

What am I Anyway?

It's almost that time. That's right, I got my little package in the mail a few days ago reminding me that it's almost time to vote once again. I decided to mail in my card and vote "absentee" this time around. I usually go to the polling place directly, but being that I have no idea right now where I'll be work-wise, I figure voting by mail is the easiest route.

I'm actually debating over whether or not to change political parties. I'm registered as a Democrat, but I have been seriously discusted with our government. To be completely honest, when I registered as a Democrat, I didn't really put much thought into it. I was 18 at the time, and I just registered with the same party as my parents. I didn't know a thing about politics, and frankly I didn't care. At 18 being able to vote was just the "cool" thing to do. Hey, I'm an "adult" now, I can vote. Whoopie!!

Just for the fun of it, I took a quiz to see what party I "should" support. The quiz labeled me as a Republican. I personally feel like I don't entirely relate to either the Democrats nor the Republicans. I sometimes feel like I'd best be called an anarchist. I don't really care for government control, though I do understand its need.

I sometimes think about what I would do if I was the president. What would I do differently? Obama's campaign focused on what he would "change". What I would focus on is how I could effectively listen. What do the people want? Isn't this country a democracy (by and for the people)? I wouldn't try to change anything unless the country wanted something changed. Why fix what isn't broken?

Everything's Coming Up Roses!

I thought I'd take a few more pictures of my roses before the summer heat comes along and they vanish. The rain we got this winter really helped out all the plants. Warmer weather is upon us now. It's been gorgeous lately, but I remember the last two years having 90-100* days in May. Summer officially isn't that far off either.

Learning to Lie

It is now May, and as disheartening as it is I am still out of work. I've been asked to really scrutenize my resume and ask what can be done to make it stand out more. I've been asked to ask myself what is it that makes others' resumes catch the attention of recruiters. I think I've found the answer.... I'm not a good liar.

Let's be honest for a moment (ha ha! See, here I go again with the honesty thing). 95% of what goes on a resume is pure bull in my opinion. Potential employees are expected to display what they've accomplished and how it can benefit the new company. Does anyone know an ordinary Joe who really "exceeded the company's expectations and helped bring in 100 new clients"? How about the person who "delivered extraordinary customer service by magically solving the problems of 50 irrate customers in one setting which resulted in an increase of customers the following year"? Yeah right! The highlight of most peoples' days are photocopying the weekly meeting notes and answering never-ending questions in emails. I hate when asked what I accomplished. An honest answer is that I was there on time regularly, rarely missing a day's work, I did my job, got along with my co-workers, didn't draw attention to myself or raise issues, and went home about my business. I never kissed butt to be something amazing. I'd like to be recognized for being hard-working and dependable, not being the suck-up.

Perhaps I was raised to be more modest than necessary. I really frown upon thinking so highly of oneself. In the corporate world, I suppose that's what is wanted though. It's such a fine line between confidence and conceit.

Just Call Me Oscar

In case you didn't notice on my Facebook, I'm very sick and grouchy today. I'm eating applesauce while I'm typing this, because it's the only thing I can swallow right now. I've had the sore throat from hell now for 2 days. I don't think it's strep, because I've only had a low-grade fever, but it's definitely miserable. On top of that, I had to go to the dentist for a filling this morning. I hate going to the dentist on its own, but while feeling sick, it's twice as annoying. Of course my dentist had no intention of being gentle, so now along with the sore throat, the lower left side of my jaw is aching too.

And, yes, I'm feeling highly depressed about my work situation (or lack there of). I still haven't gotten a check from unemployment, I've applied to 23 jobs with no response from anyone, and I'm feeling discouraged and beaten. All I want to do is earn enough to pay my bills. Is that so bad? The current unemployment rate for Contra Costa County is 12%. So where are the other 88% of people working? And, why don't they want me? I've revised my resume, sent out personalized cover letters and even included copies of my college transcripts. I'm not quite sure what people want. Maybe I should do like the girl in Legally Blonde and print my resume on pink scented paper. My next idea is to write out my resume on sticky notes and mail them all off in a big envelope with a cover letter explaining how detail oriented I am and how I make sure to note everything. LOL! I'm kidding! I'm kidding!

Hooray for Spring!

Tomorrow is the first day of Spring (or the Vernal Equinox to be technical). The weather certainly couldn't be any more beautiful. As I'm typing this, it's 7:02pm and the current temp is 75 degrees. I love weather like this. I took a walk at lunchtime today, and it was just perfect. If only I could have smelled the blossoms on the trees. My nose is still pretty stuffed up from my cold, and I have a lingering cough. Thankfully the sore throat is gone though.

I was hoping that Phil and I would be able to get to the Amex Travel office tomorrow to exchange money for our trip, but we'll probably have to wait at least another week for Phil to heal some. Wednesday night Phil had a sore throat and headache, so I thought for sure I'd given him my cold. Yesterday after stealing my ibuprofen, he felt better, so he blamed everything on allergies. Just when I thought he was doing ok, Phil called me last night to say that he sprained his ankle at work. I really think he should get an x-ray just in case it really is a break, but he is stubborn like me and won't do it. If it truly is a sprain, he may be hopping around for a week or two. **I just hope it's better before our trip. It will be hell to try to walk around through airports and city streets in pain. Maybe I should order one of those "Hover-round" things. Ha ha!

At least if we don't get out and about tomorrow, I can sleep in. I've been having a hard time adjusting to the time change. I don't know why. Normally it doesn't bother me, but lately I've been going to bed around 10pm, waking up around 12:30-1am, and then not being able to fall back asleep until nearly 4. Then I have to get up at 5. This isn't working! Last night (or really this morning) I ended up getting up and watching "The People's Court" at 3am, because I could't sleep. How sad is that? Oh, and then I watched an infomercial for the Shark Steam Cleaner. There's some great tv viewing at these hours! LOL!

In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb

It is now officially March. The saying is that March is supposed to come in like a lion. I can't say that was the case. Another storm is headed our way, but today certainly wasn't bad. It got cloudy, but that's about it. Maybe this is just a tease before the really bad weather comes. We have had a lot of rain this winter, but no one storm that was particularly horrible. I remember one year when Phil flew out from Houston to San Francisco in February, and the rain and wind was nearly like a hurricane. There were fallen trees everywhere, highways washed out and homes under water. It's been a little soggy this year, but nothing nearly that bad. I think the lion took up residence in the East this year. The East Coast has had record-breaking snow. I can't imagine dealing with the digging and scraping every day. I'm happy to brave the elements with my trusty umbrella.

Detailed Local Forecast: Cloudy skies this evening. A few showers developing late. Low around 50F. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 40%.
Tomorrow: Rain. Thunder possible. High 58F. Winds SSE at 10 to 20 mph. Rainfall near a half an inch.
Tomorrow night: Partly cloudy skies early then becoming cloudy with periods of light rain later at night. Low 47F. Winds SSW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 70%.
Wednesday: Rain likely. Thunder possible. High near 55F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 80%.
Thursday: Cloudy with rain. Highs in the mid 50s and lows in the low 40s.
Friday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the low 60s and lows in the mid 40s.

Where has the Time Gone?

I can't believe February is almost over. I know it's a short month, but it really seems to have flown by. I realize I haven't posted anything at all on here this month. I'm long overdue.

Not a whole lot has been going on. As you probably know from Facebook, we had new windows put in our house on Thursday. We had the original single-pane glass from when the house was built, so a replacement was definitely needed. Next steps are to get the exterior of the house painted and to (hopefully someday) get central heating and air put it. Right now winter is ok with our space heaters, but summer can be unbearable if it gets over 100. The new windows should help some, but I'm sure that they won't be able to block all the heat that we'll get. Last year we didn't really have that bad of a summer, but I do remember that we got about a week in July or August that hit around 112-115. It was horrible!

I've found that the bad thing about having a house is that everytime we do an improvement, there's always something else that we want. While looking for windows at Lowe's, we came across decorative exterior shutters. They serve no purpose whatsoever, but they looked nice. I've been looking at them online and I've already decided what style I like best. **No, I haven't ordered any. As much as a sickness that it is, I've been able to resist giving in so far. I do really like them though. :) **(No, I'm not considering the green shade of the ones in the picture below)

In other news, I took the CA notary exam on Thursday. The passing score is 70% or above. I hope I passed. If not, that means that I have to sit through another 6 hour class and pay another $20.00 for a retake. I'm desperately praying that that won't be the case. I was surprised at how many people were taking the test. There were 67 of us! I won't know the results of the test for 3 weeks, but I should be able to find out online.

Phil should be starting work at its new location the first week of March. His company (here in Concord) consolidated with the branch in San Jose. They're both moving in together into a new warehouse in Dublin --Dublin, California that is. :)
The commute won't be bad, since Dublin is only about a 20 minute drive from here, but the thing that sucks will be his hours. He'll be working from 2pm to 10pm on average. Some busy days, he might be working until midnight or after. I work from 7am to 4pm. I'll be asleep when he gets home and will already be at work when he leaves. I'll only get to see him during the weekends. I'm going to feel like the dog and the coyote in that cartoon where they're punching in and out on the time clocks. "Good morning Ralph." "Good night Sam."

Tales of the Traveling Tourbook

I have to confess that I did a bad thing...a very very bad thing. I listened to my husband. You'll see where this has gotten me.

Two weeks ago I had paid my monthly American Express bill and I noticed that all the while I'd been accumulating points with my card that I'd done nothing with. I looked to see just what goodies I could get, if any. I was hoping for an upgrade to First Class on my plane tickets (Yeah, right! If only I had a million points to spare. LOL!). Anyhow, I realized that I had just enough to order a tour book on Ireland. I thought it would be fun to read up on some of the places I'm planning to visit in April and maybe find a few new ones as well. I went ahead and placed the order.

**Here's where things went wrong.*** Phil had mentioned to me that he had seen on the news that a lot of people in Contra Costa County had packages stolen from their doorsteps around Christmas time. He thought the smart thing for me to do would be to have the book delivered to my work address. Fair enough. I did just that. A couple days later I received a notice that the package should be delivered in about 7-9 business days and I was given a tracking number. Ok, everything seemed fine.

Wednesday this week, I decided to check the tracking online, since I had not gotten my book yet. The tracking showed an attempt had been made to deliver the package on Tuesday, but the address was undeliverable. I double checked and realized that the address was correct, but the suite number for the office had been left off. I contacted the post office and asked if a 2nd attempt could be made with the provided suite number. I was told that I would receive an email in a day or two from the postmaster confirming redelivery.

I checked today, and the package is on its way back to the shipper. I never received any email from the post office at all. The book is currently in some place called Bell, California. I'm most likely going to have to contact the shipper and have them resend the package again. I'm guessing they'll probably make me pay for the 2nd shipping attempt.

A tour book should not be the one taking a trip! This book is doing more traveling than me!

High Maintenance or Just High??

I've been feeling a little down this weekend. Call it a bad case of a midlife crisis coming on or vitamin D deficiency from these gloomy days, but it's still not pleasant either way. I tried to cheer myself up a little by curling up under a blanket on the couch and watching some old movies. I watched about an hour of "Big Fat Liar" and then later saw "School of Rock". School of Rock was the better of the two. I didn't think I'd like it, but it did turn out to be really cute.

I've been having a bit of an internal struggle with something lately. I just wonder which is worse...to be high maintenance or not "feminine" enough. I think I fall right in the middle, which is just damning either way. I'm definitely not a full-fledged girly girl. I don't have my hair done every couple weeks by a stylist. I've never had a facial or a manicure. I don't exfoliate, moisturize or pluck every stay eyebrow on a daily basis. I do however wear makeup, insist on a shower every day (unless I'm really sick), and occasionally wear a skirt if the weather is over 60 degrees. Does this make me a girly-girl, or not enough of one? If I'm too girly to be a football fan or know how to change a tire, does that make me a wimp? If I don't care if my hair blows free when the window is down in a car or wear a sweat shirt in public, does that make me trashy or butch? Just how much of a lady do you have to be to be a woman in a man's eyes? Do most women try too much or not enough? If we're comfortable in our own skin, is that plenty or are we somehow disappointing the ones we care most about unintentionally?

Answers anyone? I'm curious.

Irish Weather

I haven't had much to blog about, so rather than bore everyone with "today I woke up, ate, and went to bed", I've left the blogging to those with lives.

I've felt a little hungry for writing, so I thought I'd give it a go today again. We're gearing up for our first major storm of 2010. We got some rain last night and this morning, but right now it's just overcast. The weather man is predicting rain on and off over the week, sometimes heavy with lots of wind. We may get anywhere from 4 to 8 inches in the next few days. That really doesn't sound like a lot, but since we've been in a drought for so long, the ground won't take much of a soaking. That means the potential of flooding. I'm glad we got new rain gutters put on last year.

This weather is making me anxious for our trip in April, even though Ireland is notorious for rain. The picture above was taken in Enis, Ireland. Yes, it was raing on that day too, as you can see from the wet ground. It can make for a pretty soggy and uncomfortable vacation if you're not prepared. If you plan ahead, it can be beautiful though. A hat or umbrella is a must as well as non-slip shoes and a jacket. If the weather is just too miserable, the pubs are warm and welcoming, usually with a live band and plenty of good food.

I was thinking a lot about the food I miss from Ireland. I'd love to bring back some of the garlic chips (fries to us Americans). They're not like the kind you get at the ball park. They're thick cut steak fries with a creamy sauce over them. They're probably about 1,000 calories, but nothing tastes as good. I also miss the Subways over there. (the food place, not the underground). They had a "Sweet Chili Thai chicken" sandwich that was incredible! I've never seen it here. Phil is convinced that their salami is better too. I think that it's because in America, most of our bacon and sausage comes from the belly of the animal, but Ireland uses the leaner back meat. If you want fatty American bacon, you have to ask for "rashers" rather than "bacon."

There are some things that I can't bring myself to eating though. I won't try Black Pudding. It might be good, but the thought of a sausage made out of grains and pig blood sounds discusting! I'm also not fond of colcannon (basically mashed potatoes mixed with cooked cabbage and onions).

Luckily, most parts of Ireland have enough varieties of food, that practically nobody (even us picky people) could go hungry. I always laugh thinking about the times Phil and I ate Mexican food in Limerick, Chinese Food in Belfast (ok, that's actually in Northern Ireland, but still...), and Thai food in Cork. Like everywhere else in the world, there's plenty of McDonald's and Burger Kings too. The funny thing is how different they really can be. Once in Dublin, we had lunch at a McDonald's that brought the food to our table. It felt weird being "served" fast food. In Limerick, the McDonalds there was 3 stories. I've never seen one that huge. Is it really necessary to have a multi-story fast food restaurant?

Repeat Performance

Seelinkfor earthquake info.

We had another earthquake today around noon. I was the only one at work who felt it. This one was a little smaller than yesterday.

Shaken, Not Stirred

I haven't posted anything in a few days, because really there hasn't been much to talk about. We did have a little excitement this morning though. We had a 4.1 earthquake around 10am. It was centered near Milpitas. I was sitting at my desk at work and felt one pretty hard jolt. Then it seemed to be over as fast as it had started. I could see the blinds moving back and forth on the window in front of me. I don't recall anything falling. I keep expecting to feel aftershocks, but so far there's been nothing.

I'm not sure if I mentioned this before or not, but Phil's company will be moving in February or March. The Concord and San Jose shops will be consolidating. They will be moving into one big warehouse in Dublin (Dublin, California that is). Phil's commute will go from about 3 minutes to 20 or so. I guess that's still not bad.

So far, I'm still at the same place on Burnett. There's only about ten of us now, so it's kind of scary. I keep thinking that sooner or later they'll close our department. I just take it day by day. Lately work has at least been steady, so that's a plus.

Well nothing left to say but happy 16th birthday to Alexander and have a good night all!

Back to the Grind

Well, I made it through a day back to work. It actually was pretty nice and quiet. Kathy was out, which made it nice. You don't know how much I begin to cringe when I hear her coming up behind me saying, "Yo!". First of all, that's not my name. Secondly, I know that it's just her way of starting to tell me that something, no, make that EVERYTHING that I just did is wrong. I'm grateful to have someone proofread my work, but picking out every little petty detail is not only annoying but time consuming as well. For example, does it really matter if I spelled Michael DeVall's last name as Devall without capitalizing the V? His name was spelled in all caps on the deed, so how would I know if the V should really be capitalized or not? Kathy said it's standard spelling. Uh, yeah, ok and we know how standard people's names are spelled especially nowdays. I've seen the name Derick spelled "Derick", "Derek", "Derich", and "Derik." You get the picture. Enough rambling about that!

Baby fish has survived another day. I wonder if we should name it. I have no clue if it's a boy or a girl. I'm still surprised that Phil spotted the little thing. It's the size of a crumb. When Phil fed the fish tonight, he advised that the baby fish not only was eating but pooping too. Well...I guess that's good.

Speaking of animals, I read an article in the paper today that said that parts of Contra Costa county are going to now have posts installed as roosts for raptors. This is being done to encourage the local birds of prey to feed on an over-population of ground squirrels that are invading people's homes. It sounds like a good alternative. I know they've tried poisoning the squirrels in the past, but that didn't seem to work well. There were a lot of fears of pets being poisoned as well, though I don't think any actually were.

I'm hoping I sleep well tonight. I'm still kind of shaken over a weird nightmare I had over the weekend. I dreamt I was in a hospital with headless people. Where their necks should be, they had plastic tubes. It was freaky! If it was supposed to mean something, I'm not sure I want to know what.

The New Arrival

Last night Phil found a baby fish in our aquarium. I've been looking around today, but so far, I've only seen the one lone fish. I'm hoping that it doesn't get eaten by its tank mates, but I'm not expecting miracles here. From the look of it, it seems that the Electric Blue Johanni is the father and one of our Lombardis is the mother.

Today was pretty slow. The highlight of the day was getting the truck washed. I don't know why Phil thought it had to be done. It looks like rain. We did get a break though. Normally it's around $20.00 or so for the "Works", but the supervisor Steve was there and he said that he'd charge us $10.00 if we gave $5.00 to him and the other $5.00 to the car washer. I wonder how many people he offers this to and how long until he gets in trouble for it. Oh well...if it saves us money, I'm going for it.

Tomorrow is back to work again after the New Year's holiday weekend. I'm not ready to get up early again. I'm thankful for a job, but waking up at 5am in the Winter is cruel and unusual punishment!

Jan. 2, 2010 (A Day Late)

Ok, so I promised myself that I would start a daily blog for the New Year. Already I am breaking my resolution, since it's Jan. 2nd today.

Yesterday wasn't really much to talk about anyway though. Phil woke up late (and by "late" I mean 4pm). The day was pretty much shot, so all we did is go out to dinner in Walnut Creek. On the way home, we decided to stop for ice cream at Baskin Robbins. I think everyone in there was PMSing, including the men. First there was some guy that was upset at the way his sundae was made. It was made in a tall glass, but he insisted that the last time he bought one it was made in a cup and was a lot cheaper. The person behind the counter told him that they only have one size and one price for the particular sundae that he ordered. He continued to argue, until finally he just gave up and walked out. Then there was "Miss Princess" who decided that she really had to be served before anyone else. She started waving her arms and saying "Hello! Excuse Me!!" to the workers. When she did get served, she asked for a scoop of ice cream. The lady working started to put it in a cone. Princess threw a fit and said that she wanted it in a cup. Good Lord! It's the same price woman!!

Today was a little less dramatic. LOL! Phil went with his friend Ryan to the shooting range, so I stayed home and took down the Christmas decorations. It looks kind of bare now. :( We're meeting Deborah and Robert for dinner at El Torito in about an hour. I'm hoping that the nasty people at Baskin Robbins don't decide to get Mexican food tonight.
